ffprobe scans every video file, subfolders included, and builds an incremental cache. New files come in, old ones are kept.

You search a shot like you search a word
Tokenisation strips French and English stopwords, then weights each term by whether it appears in the file name, the description or the subfolder path.

What is missing, you find elsewhere
Media Finder brings images, video and sound back into one grid, with automatic detection of vertical or landscape format, and drops the file onto your timeline.
Frequently asked questions
? Do I need API keys for the search?
None. The sources are queried without a key, and YouTube goes through yt-dlp locally rather than the Google API.
? Do results take long to arrive?
Each source has seven seconds to answer. If one lags, the others are already on screen: the grid fills as they land.
? Can I use the media I find in a monetised video?
Licences depend on the source. Pexels, Pixabay, Wikimedia Commons, NASA and Mixkit each have their own terms: check them before a commercial release.
? What if the image I find is too small?
Image Finder includes AI 4K upscaling, and cutout with real transparency detection rather than plain flat-background removal.
? My library is on an external drive?
You point at the folder, the index is written next to your files. Next time you plug it in, only new clips are scanned.
